7 Gut-Busting Tips to Lose Belly Fat: Simple, Effective and Free
Stomach fat. There I said it. The bane of our existence, the annoying friend that never seems to go away, and the part of our bodies that weighs on our minds, forces us to diet, and tricks us into spending thousands of dollars on useless products and supposed secrets. Always staring back at you in the mirror and always laughing at you when you look down to tie your shoes. Companies have made millions, even billions, of dollars selling gimmicks, ploys, and crap trying to “help” use lose unsightly belly fat. Truth is, losing belly fat doesn’t have to be a battle that never ends and it isn’t all about some newfound, expensive secret for abs. Here are some promising methods for losing belly fat that might be easier and simpler than you ever imagined. Earth shattering information? Maybe not. Simple and effective gut-busting tips? Absolutely.
Lose Belly Fat Tip #1- Eat Properly and Exercise
Duh, right? Not necessarily groundbreaking stuff yet so many people neglect this part of losing weight and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Too many of us are guilty for looking for an easy way out and that is often what gets us off track. Millions of studies show that a balanced diet packed with vegetables, whole grains and fruits which is also low in fat and sugar combined with regular physical activity will battle fat like nothing else. A healthy lifestyle can reduce surface fat, and deeper fat underneath, as well as cut down on your risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol.
Lose Belly Fat Tip #2- Level Out to a Healthy Weight
No one should be sitting here telling you that losing belly fat is easy. However, you can improve your shape and your curves by cutting down on your body mass index. On average a healthy adult has a body mass index of between 19 and 25. The bottom line is that reaching a healthy weight and living a healthy lifestyle is the golden rule for belly fat. You can do pilates and crunches every morning yet if you are overweight you will still carry fat over top of your abs. On the other side of the coin, you can be slim but carry a pretty powerful gut if you do not live in a healthy fashion.
Lose Belly Fat Tip #3- Don’t Stress Out
Every day it seems that there is a stronger link between belly fat and stress. Stress can bring about a higher level of cortisol which can react with insulin in your body and create abdomen fat. If that wasn’t already enough, extra stress can also lure us towards sugary foods that can quickly pack on the pounds. Relaxing and cutting down on stress can help you pass over that box of chocolates or bowl of ice cream as a midnight snack. So how do you get started with stress relief? Yoga and meditation provide a great jump start and as an added bonus yoga can tone your body as well.
Lose Belly Fat Tip #5- Learn a Little From Asian Culture
It may take you time to get used to seaweed being anything more than the stuff that nips at your ankles when swimming, but its benefits are priceless. Brown seaweed contains fucoxanthin which has been shown to shrink abdominal fat over a number of studies. So next time you are out on the town grab a table at a sushi restaurant and dig into a seaweed salad or miso soup. They are healthy, seaweed appetizers that will fill you up and stop you from chowing down on spicy tempura rolls.
Lose belly Fat Tip #6-Spurn Trans Fats
I know that we already talked about healthy eating and healthy choices but trans fats deserve to be discussed more, and even deserve an entire book. These unhealthy fats are directly tied to cardiovascular disease and are infamous for going straight to your belly. Indulging in trans fats can increase the amount of visceral fat around your belly and even help distribute fat around your entire body. Just say no whenever you can.
Lose Belly Fat Tip #7- Don’t Believe the Hype
There are hundreds of studies done by qualified and professional doctors that show that the new, “high-tech”, ab busting, expensive home exercise equipment is no better than normal, old fashioned exercise. So stop eating a bag of chips and watching late night infomercials and falling for the gimmicks. Save money and lose belly fat through the use of reverse crunches, pull ups from an old fashioned captain’s chair, and the bicycle maneuver. They are simple, easy and effective ab exercises that will target your core and your belly fat.
Best 12 Healthy Living Tips for Losing Weight, Loving Life and Feeling Good
Are you trying to lose weight or even just remain healthy but feel entirely overwhelmed? I know how hard it is to stay on track and I know how easy it is to lose track of your weight loss decisions and even the food eaten throughout the day. What I have learned over time is what works and what doesn’t. I do not claim to make all the right decisions by any means and I am often guilty of overeating, overindulging or just being downright lazy. But you know what? That is ok now and then. We aren’t all fitness gurus and we do not have to be. Love life, enjoy yourself and take baby steps to fitness and a healthy lifestyle. With that in mind, here are the best 12 low key, easy to remember and effective healthy eating tips that you can stick right into your daily routine.
Best Healthy Eating Tip #1- Start a Food Diary
In many ways a food diary is the best and most important tool for weight loss. By keeping note of everything you consume throughout the day you get an excellent idea of the habits you are engaging in, healthy and unhealthy. It allows you to better understand what mistakes you are making, when you are making them and thus, how to identify certain areas that need to be changed. Sometimes it really is the mindless snacking throughout the day that packs on the pounds, and you don’t even remember doing it.
Best Healthy Eating Tip #2- EAT BREAKFAST
I don’t care how redundant I get, how many articles I mention this in or how annoyed hearing about it gets. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and even though I do skip it on each occasion it is those days where I feel sluggish and even overeat. A healthy choice full of protein can kick start your day, give you the energy to perform and regulate your blood sugar levels. Consider oatmeal, whole wheat bread with peanut butter or maybe even some fresh fruit and cottage cheese. Filling, healthy and with enough oomph to get you skipping your way to work.
Best Healthy Eating Tip #3- Taking Baby but Permanent Steps
Healthy living and weight loss doesn’t have to be a massive change where you uproot everything you do and enjoy in life. Whether you are trying to lower your cholesterol, lose weight or just feel better, it is often the small changes that you can commit to that make the biggest difference. For instance, start by measuring your food and the add-ons you use in cooking. Try measuring the amount of oil or butter you use when cooking your favorite meal and then cut it in half. In terms of oil, if you do that just once a week for a year it will equal just over 8,000 calories which can equal out to two pounds of weight loss. Slow, steady and calculated progression.
Best Healthy Eating Tip #4-Slow Down when Eating
Eating slowly is one of the best ways to cut down on the amount of food you consume and enjoy what you are eating. It sometimes takes time to get used to but once you reinforce the habit it can become second nature. You can begin by doing something as simple as putting down your utensils in between bites. Focus on what you are doing as well, shut off the TV and any other distractions and try to sit down for every meal. After a while you are sure to be less hungry and will enjoy your food a lot more.
Healthy Eating Tip #5- Reward Yourself with Treats and Sweets
Who doesn’t love chocolate? It can make you feel happy and it tastes good. It is ok to reward yourself with a piece of top quality chocolate as long as you do it with control. Scarfing down on an entire chocolate bar is not the best of ideas but neither is neglecting life’s little pleasures. Try this. Buy only top of the line and expensive chocolate and just eat a small piece from time to time and really savor it.
Healthy Eating Tip #6-Enjoy Holidays and Events with No Guilt
Everyone has times where they break down and give into temptation. They key is to not get down on yourself, enjoy the moment and then get back on the horse the next day. Times like Christmas and Thanksgiving are a time for friends, family, food and fun. Enjoy it, gobble down on turkey and cranberry sauce and just bring back your healthy eating habits the very next meal. As long as you do not make a habit of it, a few bad days is more than ok.
Healthy Eating Tip #7- Take Advantage of Fruits and Veggies in Season
If you purchase and consume fruits and vegetables when they are in season you will get a number of benefits. They will taste better, be easier to get and be a whole lot more affordable. In the summer revolve your meals around melons, peaches, cherries and so on and then in the fall try and fall in love with cabbage, tomatoes and squash. You cannot dispute the benefits and value of fresh fruits and veggies. They are easy to get, easy to eat and are full of nutrients, high in fiber and low in fat.
Healthy Eating Tip #8-Create an Individual Healthy Lifestyle
There are an infinite number of experts that can help you get on track with your diet and exercise plan. There are millions of books, diet plans and videos that will tell you exactly what to do. The fact is that your lifestyle has to fit your needs. Create a diet plan that is realistic and fun for you. Just because you read an article about a plan that worked for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you. You are an individual with different needs and desires, so create a healthy lifestyle that fits. Jumping on the bandwagon of the hottest diet trend is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, it just doesn’t work.
Healthy Eating Tip #9- Cut Down on Hunger
Overeating and binge eating are often caused by depriving yourself and waiting too long in between meals. It really is best for many people to eat SOMETHING every 3-4 hours which means you can indulge in three meals and one or two snacks a day. Instead of waiting until you get too hungry to resist temptation try and pack healthy snacks wherever you go. Popcorn, low fat yogurt and fruit or a whole wheat pita with tuna and veggies are just some of the ideas you can consider. Make a list of healthy things you enjoy and you will have the power to resist the vending machine during the middle of the day.
Healthy Eating Tip #10- Carbs are not always the Enemy so Enjoy Healthy Carbs
There are substantial health benefits that can come from healthful carbs. Start enjoying a new type of grain every week and mix them into side dishes, casseroles or even salads to see which you enjoy best. Some of the top options are oatmeal, buckwheat, whole grain breads, barley and quinoa.
Healthy Eating Tip #11-Utilize Portion Control
Your measuring cup can be your best friend when it comes to dieting and weight loss. Measure the bowls, glasses and plates you use to find out how much food they can actually hold. If you find that your pasta bowl can hold 3-4 cups then you might want to invest in some smaller bowls. Visually and psychologically it has been proven that you will feel more satisfied eating a meal out of a full, small bowl than eating from a half full, large bowl.
Healthy Eating Tip #12- Focus on Keeping Hydrated
A lot of people take this tip too literally and chug down on juice, soda and even alcoholic beverages thinking it is ok. The best hydration actually comes from beverages that are non-caffeinated and nonalcoholic, as well as from soups and foods that are high in water such as fruits and veggies. Try to drink water at every meal and always keep some handy. If you find yourself bored then mix some lemon or lime into the water or even add a small portion or cranberry juice to the water. It can liven up your drink without the caloric punch.
Simple, calculated success. Enjoy life, enjoy food and just be mindful of what you are doing throughout the day. We are not all going to appear on “The Biggest Loser”, we are not all going to have washboard abs, but we all can live a healthy, happier life thanks to a few small changes.

Play Doctor at Home and Save Time and Money: 6 Ailments, Issues, and Medical Problems you can Treat on your Own at Home
There are many problems and medical conditions that we must rely on doctors and proper medication to treat. However, the fact is that we often overreact to rather common problems. We end up seeking out someone with a medical degree when we can in fact treat our problem right in the comfort of our home.
Here are 6 common ailments and conditions that you don’t need to be an expert to figure out and treat. So jot down these notes and the next time you are feeling under the weather play doctor on yourself. It can save time, money, and even embarrassment.
How to Treat Muscle Aches at Home
If you are dealing with irritating muscle aches then do your best to apply ice within the first 24 hours of feeling the pain. After the first 24 hours you can seek out relief through a heating pad or even a hot bath. If the pain continues then try throwing back an anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen around every 6 hours. Keep your health card in your wallet and treat yourself and the pain should subside within a day or two. There is no need to spend hours in emerg or trot into the walk-in clinic unless the pain continues for more than a few days.
How to Treat a Sunburn at Home
With a sunburn your best friend may also be an anti-inflammatory painkiller. An anti-inflammatory can soothe that feeling of tenderness and then you can opt to use an aloe moisturizer or cortisone cream along with cold compresses. Whatever you do avoid picking or peeling the skin. When your skin starts to peel that is your body’s natural way of healing a sunburn, so you are better off to leave it and let your body do its thing.
How to Treat Diarrhea at Home
The key to fighting diarrhea is fluids. Drink plenty of water whenever you can to replace the fluids you are losing and stick to bland food such as toast and rice for a day or two. There are a number of anti-diarrhea meds you can find over the counter as well, or even make some remedies at home from fruits such as figs. If your diarrhea continues and does not stop within a few days then it is time to seek out a doctor’s advice.
How to Treat a Bad Cut at Home
A deep cut should always be treated at a hospital when you can, but a bad cut can often be treated at home. You can stop the bleeding through firm pressure applied with a cloth and then flush the wound with cold water. Do not use soap as it will irritate the wound and after be sure to dry the wound thoroughly. Once the wound is clean you can apply an antibiotic cream and then cover it with a bandage and you are good to go about your day.
How to Treat a Fever at Home
Ibuprofen or acetaminophen can go a long way to bringing down your fever. You should also chug back as much fluid as you can throughout the day in order to hydrate your immune system. If your temperature continues to rise and escalates over 101 then it is probably time to crawl your way to an MD.
How to Treat a Yeast Infection on your Own
The hardest part for many women when it comes to treating a yeast infection is identifying that they have one. If you notice your vulva itching or burning, and there tends to be a clumpy discharge, then you have a yeast infection. Head over to the pharmacy and pick up an anti-yeast treatment. That will probably clear the problem within just a few days but if it doesn’t you should book an appointment with your gyno.

The Five “B’s” for Finding True Happiness: Compassion, Generosity, Insight, Freedom and Being Content
I watched a video today that did more than inspire me. I can’t even put into words the emotions that came over me when watching this video. I was inspired, felt driven, and even had small tears well up inside of me. All of this from a 56 second video taken on the streets of India and words spoken by a man who is open about his lack of knowledge and literacy.
There are so many experts, psychiatrists, and doctors try to discuss the search for happiness and how one can truly be happy. Even they cannot describe it or explain happiness the way this man did with one sentence. One powerful, inspiring, and truthful message. So what was it and what did he say?
“The Key to Happiness is to Choose Happiness”
That was it. That was all he said, and that is all that is needed. Too many people go too far in depth when analyzing and deconstructing spirituality and the pursuit of happiness. Sometimes our happiness and well being simply is not as complicated as we make it. If you truly want to be happy then you have to be open minded and willing to choose the path of happiness. Let it into your life, be open to opportunities, and be accepting and positive every day of your life. Choose happiness and it will all start from the inside.
We all want to be happy. We all strive to be happy. We all crave happiness. However, being happy doesn’t always appear to be that simple. So here are the 5 “B’s” for finding happiness and bringing bliss into your life.
When I first began to write this article I really assumed that it would be an easy topic to write about. Talk about things that make me happy, easy enough right? Then I realized that what makes me happy would not necessarily make you happy. Happiness isn’t always a universal thing, so how can there be any universal tips when it comes to embracing pleasure? I was stuck in a rut. Sure everyone strives for health, fun, friends and family, but what about the people that enjoy being alone or have other desires? I was lost as to how to approach this topic, and then I stumbled upon Buddhist Philosophy.
Buddhist Philosophy
Buddhism recognizes and appreciates the fact that true happiness can only be found within oneself. What this means is that happiness has to be brought about via a choice and a change in your own mind. Too many of us focus on changing everything around us, helping others before we help ourselves, and over reaching for pleasure. If we do not appreciate ourselves and understand that our own happiness comes from the inside, how can we expect to be able to help others?
Many of the external things that we find ourselves chasing will not actually bring us happiness. If a new car and more friends manage to bring you happiness it often only turns out to be a fleeting happiness. Finding true, internal happiness takes dedication and is a far reaching goal, but is incredibly attainable. Find happiness from the inside out. Fix yourself form the inside before shaping the outside world. Follow these five tips and make a change towards true happiness.
How to Find Happiness “B” #1- Be Able to Look Inside Yourself
It is paramount to face your demons. Take responsibility of your actions, your thoughts, and your opinions. Many people are infested with self doubt and have even hidden themselves from their own mind. So many people sit there and gossip about other people, how confused they are, how rude they are, and how many problems they cause. You often have to face your demons and realize that if everyone around you “has problems”, you might be the common denominator.
Happiness is not something that is out in the world to find or something we always need to search for. It is in here. It is in your heart. It is in your mind. It is easy to say this, but much harder to actually live it. Your first step is to recognize the source of your individual happiness. Once you understand that you are responsible for finding your own pleasure, it is then that you can take steps towards finding more fulfillment.
How to Find Happiness “B” #2- Be Truly Free
The definition that we have come to believe when it comes to the word freedom is not truly freedom. It has become known as a sort of “I do what I like when I like” type attitude and method of living. That sort of freedom often does not lead to happiness. While we often feel like we are doing what we want to do, we are tied down by our true desires as well as the things that the media and society are telling us.
In today’s world consumerism has forced us to always want things. I want this. I want that. If I get that then I will be happy. It is these fabricated desires that actually eat away at our freedom. In order to achieve true happiness we have to each find a way to break free from our desires and understand what we really need to be happy, not what we want.
How to Find Happiness “B” #3- Be Compassionate
Everyone feels that friends and family are important. We would do anything for the people who are close to us and the ones we love. However, that love and kindness rarely seems to transfer over to strangers. Why is it that we are so compassionate to some people but completely disregard others? We are compassionate with the ones we love because we have a deeper connection with them. What if there was a way to find that same connection with complete strangers or even the rest of the world? What if we just realized that we all do have something in common? We all do share at least one goal; we all want to be happy.
The desire to be happy is behind every major decision or move that we make in life. Every minute of every day our minds are geared towards finding happiness and fulfilling internal desires. Understanding that everyone shares this same desire to be happy can help us understand that we are just like everyone else. We all want to be happy. So be compassionate and accepting of everyone around you, no matter what their faults or opinions may be. In the end, they just want to be happy, and so do you.
How to Find Happiness “B” #4- Be Generous and Giving
We are instinctively hardwired to be selfish. We cherish ourselves and we want what is best for us. We talk about ourselves, we talk about our problems, and we want the focus to be on us. Stop it. Just stop. The truth is that nobody really wants to hear it. Instead, find a way to give. Connect with others through giving and realize that the more time you take to think about others and give, the less time you will have to dwell on yourself.
Compassion and generosity. Cherish those ideas, use them, and connect with others. There is so much happiness that can be spread through connecting and sharing with others. Happiness doesn’t have to be about a brand new house or a bigger TV; it can simply be about conversation and caring for others.
How to Find Happiness “B” #5- Be Content
Sometimes it is our lack of understanding of what happiness is that prevents us from actually finding it. Instead of focusing on being happy, try to focus on being content. Happiness has been associated with running around, playing on the beach, and laughing and smiling all day long. For many people that may not even be what makes them truly happy.
We all have what we need in our lives already to be happy. I will go out on a limb and say that is true. Some of you may call me out on that but the fact remains that we do not need very much to be happy, and most of us already have it all.
So why does finding happiness still seem to be so hard?
In most cases we tell ourselves we are happy. We even take the time to count our blessings, appreciate what we have, and even feel grateful for the things in our lives. However, that feeling and those emotions do not last for long. It only lasts until something goes wrong, someone cuts us off while driving, or until we see another material good that we want. These other emotions swoop in and steal our happiness.
We need to stop that wanting emotion and that craving for more. Be content. Be content with what you have, be proud of what you have already achieved, and you will be that much closer to being happy on a consistent basis.
The Key to Happiness is to Choose Happiness. Think about it. Really. Please.

Mantra Meditation is the Easy Way to Meditate
Small Steps for Big Solutions
Meditation can often be seen as a very intimidating prospect for those who are not already well practiced in this life art. While it is technically one of the easiest forms of relaxation and focus available to our species, the mere idea of sitting in one spot for an extended period of time can make many people want to climb the walls. Many of us are fidgety by nature so trying to concentrate on nothing, as so many people have heard meditation is about, seems like an exercise in tedium and totally boring. However, meditation does not need to be a silent activity nor does it need to drive us nuts trying to do it.
Ease into Meditation with Mantra
Mantra meditation is perhaps one of the quickest and easiest forms of meditation to learn because it is not only effective, it’s extremely simple and does not require highly disciplined emotional control in order to get started. In fact, you could start right after you read this article if you like. The reason that it is so simple is because all it requires is a mantra that you repeat over and over.
A mantra can be a phrase or simple sounds. Many people use the sounds ‘om’ or ‘aum’ to start out with, but others prefer phrases such as ‘love and light’ or ‘I am deeply at peace’. It’s up to you to choose which works better, but the idea behind choosing sounds is that they are easier than phrases to focus on and not mix up. The idea behind selecting short phrases is that by repeating the phrases you focus your subconscious mind on the phrase in order to bring about change in your life.
Find a Private Place to Focus
The mantra style of meditation requires that you say the sounds or phrases aloud so you will want to find a private place to do this in. If you can concentrate on these phrases and say them slowly out loud with your eyes closed you are halfway there. It’s recommended that you sit on the floor, using a pillow only if you need to because too relaxing of a position can lead to a nap, which is not the point of meditation. If you can say the sounds in a drawn out way, concentrating on keeping your breathing deep and slow, you will soon be in a relaxed state, focusing purely on the sounds of each syllable.
It’s that simple. The goal of this style of meditation, in the early stages, is pure relaxation and the benefits associated with that such as lowered blood pressure. Mentally, you will experience a clearer mind so that whatever you do next is easier to focus on. Overall, mantra meditation is an excellent way to reduce stress. Open your mind, give it a try, and ease into meditation. The art form does not have to be intimidating and you do not have to jump into it unprepared. Take small steps, get in touch with yourself, and use the power of meditation to benefit your spirit, body, mind, and soul.

Aerobic Exercise Can Be Convenient and Easily Worked Into Your Daily Routine
Run, Swim, Jog, Dance, or Walk
So many people today use the excuse that we simply do not exercise due to all the conveniences of modern life. The majority of people will pick the easiest way to do things and this is natural as a survival trait. All of us have developed this trait in order to conserve our energies for times of high stress. However, for our modern lives it is definitely crucial to work in exercise whenever we can despite the temptation to say we are too busy. If you aren’t sure how to work exercise into your daily life you have come to the right place. We are going to look at simple, effective ways you can make sure you slip some aerobic exercise into your daily routine, without all of the hassle.
What Exactly is Aerobics?
Aerobic exercise, for those of us who were napping in high school health class, is any kind of exercise that is moderate to high in its intensity and meant to be performed for at least 20 to 30 minutes. This means that during those 20 to 30 minutes you will be getting your heart rate up and preferably breaking a sweat.
Aerobic exercise is meant to primarily work your heart and lead to better cardiovascular health by getting your blood circulating better. It is also useful for building your stamina and giving you a body that can endure more strenuous activities. Ideally, when you are performing aerobic exercise you want to warm up first which can be done through stretching to avoid cramps. You will also want to engage in a few minutes of cool down which helps you not have such a rapid stop. It’s all about staying in a physical flow.
Aerobic Exercise Can Be Free
If you don’t have a lot of money to splurge on high end fitness equipment and you haven’t got a local track, don’t worry because a jog through your neighborhood counts as a solid aerobic plan. Even a brisk walk can count if you’re sincere about it. You can try stair climbing or even dancing if that is more your style. Plenty of people find solo exercise to be mundane so you could look for a partner, but be aware that this means you may make excuses when that person doesn’t show up.
Swimming is usually a very low cost alternative that might be more pleasant for those who aren’t into running through the heat or cold of their local climate. Bike riding or running with your dog can work. Finally, jumping rope can be done indoors and so can shadow boxing. Really, wherever you have a little space you can find some sort of aerobic activity from jumping jacks to jogging in place in front of the TV, you’re only limited by personal creativity and your own willingness to commit to exercising.
In the end, it’s all about what you actually want to do. There are always ways to exercise if you can get a single half hour to yourself. It’s all a matter of committing. When you’re first starting out, keep in mind that baby steps often help make these goals a reality quicker than rapid pushes towards huge goals and the resulting yo-yo of attempting, quitting, and attempting again. There are a variety of aerobic exercises out there and any real motion can benefit your lifestyle. Pick something you love to do and put your heart into it and it will be a lot easier to get into a healthy routine.

Understanding and Using Your Dreams as a Way to Heal Yourself and Restore Emotional Balance

Choose a Dream
Understand your Dreams with a Dream Journal
Each one of us has dreams while we sleep, whether we remember them or not. With the exception of those who take sleeping aids which may interrupt the dreaming process, we all experience fairly frequent dreams if our rest is adequate, and sometimes even when it is not. While dreams are sometimes shooed away as nonsense that our minds come up with, many people believe that dreams can actually offer a lot to those who take the time to examine them for their own personal benefit. The concept is simple: while you are sleeping, your brain is working through problems and situations that you experienced while awake. This is an incredibly powerful way for your brain to provide solutions or make insightful comments that you will remember when you wake up.
What confuses most people is the fact that dreams are rarely literal, being more similar to abstract paintings or poetry, maybe even surreal art house cinema. This is because the images, words and moods conveyed in dreams are often symbolic, tied to things they represent. One of the best ways to begin making sense of what your dreams are telling you is by keeping a dream journal. All you need is a notebook and a pen kept near your bed, though some people prefer to have a tape recorder or use their cellphones to send themselves a text message or record a voice note. Once you begin recording the events, situations, and moods of your dreams, you will begin to recognize patterns and understand that you already have your own personal dream language that has been developing over the course of your life.
Analyzing Dreams by Thinking Backwards
While recording what you dream is crucial, it’s important not to wake up and immediately begin recording everything. This may cause you to end up losing what you remember in your rush to write down the details. First, stay very still and try to remember everything you can. Some people suggest ‘thinking backwards’ by remembering one detail and then trying to fish for the memories that surround this detail. If you keep pushing yourself, you will eventually find that there is usually some sort of story told in fragments. By writing down the fragments you are able to recall, you may be able to trigger more memory throughout the course of the day.

Dreams Of Flying May Mean You Are Happy
There May be Meaning but it is Still Just a Dream
In examining your dreams, remember not to take things too terribly literally unless you feel strongly that they are literal. If you see a person or thing, or experience a specific mood, ask yourself what this might be related to in your waking life. By seeing these connections you will often discover that you’ve come up with explanations for feelings you have about people or situations while you were sleeping.
Understand your Feelings with a Dream Journal
It is important to break out of the closed mind that you might have when it comes to dream analysis. Keeping a dream journal does not mean that you are overly sensitive and doesn’t even need to be a form of therapy, which some people define it as. A dream journal can simply be a way to connect better with your inner self and your feelings. You do not have to make any changes based on what your dreams say or even read too far into their deeper meaning. Instead, you can treat your dream analysis simply as a way of acknowledging who you are and how you feel. The more you work on your dream journal, the more you will learn about your most valuable asset in life: yourself.

Believing in Karma: Combining the Law of Attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect to Achieve your Goals and Improve your Life

Which Path are you Destined to Follow?
Karma
Karma is a notion or idea that many of us believe in, accept, and even practice throughout our daily lives. But how can karma or, to be more specific, the law of cause and effect actually work? Do we really reap what we sow? Will things actually go around and come back around? Well to put it simply, yes. We all know how powerful our thoughts can be and how our actions can became the cause for a number of effects. Even in-depth science explains that, “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So what does that mean for us? How can we engage in causes that bring about the effects we desire?
Combining the Law of Attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect
When the law of attraction and the cause and effect principles merge they can work together to produce a very powerful effect. Utilizing them together is an exceptional way to reach your goals faster and achieve your desires. Syncing up your actions and thoughts can in fact give you the power to accelerate your speed on the path to success. If your main desire is to find love, then you should not only be focusing your thoughts on love, but you should also be sending out kindness and love to everyone around you. This connects the law of attraction and the law of cause and effect, thus making your thoughts and actions more influential. By walking the walk as well as talking the talk you are doubling your efforts and making a commitment to a more enlightened and rewarding lifestyle.
Before putting your positive actions and positive thoughts to work the real question becomes, which process is harder to do? Constantly ensuring your thoughts are positive and focused? Or engaging in actions that will help you achieve your goals? Once you have an understanding of which is harder for you, you will know which factor you need to put more work into.
Fate and Destiny’s Relation to Desire
What many people choose to neglect, when the discussion of positive thinking and karma comes up, is the effect of fate and destiny on your desires. There is always something deeper than what we are. Something that is planned or meant to be. No matter your religion, beliefs, or opinion of spirituality, it is clear that there is something much deeper that is often unexplainable. If your desires correlate with your purpose in life then it may be a lot easier to manifest your desires. Accordingly this could be why you feel such incredible and overwhelming happiness when you live your life with purpose and achieve your goals.
Putting Positivism at the Forefront
Essentially what the principle of karma does is justify the importance of positivism within our lives. Not necessarily social activism, just steady positive thoughts and positive reactions to certain situations. If you are committed to giving out kindness and love, that is what will often be given back to you. If you focus on negativity, anger, and conflict, then this is what you will receive. While you are urged to stay positive and connect on a spiritual level, there is often a fine line between passing on positivity and pushing it onto others. Your positivism will inspire others, but let it work on its own. Many times positive thinking is something that people need to find on their own, rather than be pressured into it as people do with other methods of thinking.
In many ways, awareness itself can inspire enlightenment. Positive thinking and combing your thoughts and actions does not have to be an intimidating change. In the end, the actions and thoughts that you cast out into your life will bring in results that correlate to them. Just as a fisherman plans his bait in order to attract certain fish, you have to be aware of the bait that you are using to attract desires.
Just listen to your self, tell yourself what you want, act on your desires, and live life with purpose. You will be rewarded.
Get a Better Sleep with the Floating Bed

The Floating Bed Exudes Comfort
A Better Way to Sleep, Heal, and Relax
If you struggle with a sleep disorder, are dealing with insomnia, or just want to get a better night’s rest, you already know how frustrating nighttime can be. Well what if there was a solution that could help you sleep better and feel better without any prescription drugs or comatose inducing remedies? What if your bed could actually do something to improve your sleep rather than just lay there and mock you as you toss and turn? Think it isn’t possible? Then I suggest you take a look at a Floating Bed and the idea behind Floating Motion.
The Hassle behind a Good Night’s Sleep
Sleep is a finicky thing. Too much of it and you can feel drained, lazy and unproductive. Too little and you can feel exhausted, worn out, and have your brain start refusing to function. Over 70 million people in the USA alone suffer from unhealthy sleep patterns and that number continues to rise every day thanks to the stress of modern life.
Improved sleep alone can contribute to a healthier life, negate physical and psychological health problems, and even improve your relations at work and at home. So what can we do? How can we improve sleep? Do we need to resort to some chemically produced pill in order to get a full night’s sleep? Often times the answer is no. In severe cases you may need to see a doctor and have a prescription filled out, but that should be a last resort.
5 Easy Tips and Cures for Insomia
I have outlined 5 easy tips that can really help you get to bed and benefit from a deeper, longer sleep in a previous article which you can read here. However, continue on for information on the Floating Bed.

Makes You Want To Take a Nap Doesn`t It
The Theory and Use of the Floating Bed
Have you ever noticed how much better you tend to sleep on a relaxing vacation? What is one of the first things that people think about when they picture themselves lying on a Caribbean beach or at their cottage? That’s right, a hammock. Imagine bringing that soothing comfort and vacation style sleep right into your bedroom. Well that is exactly what the makers of the floating bed have tried to do.
The motion and feeling behind a hammock goes a lot deeper than you may imagine and that is why the floating bed was created. Not only does the weightless, floating feeling provide undeniable comfort but the use of a floating bed is also said to bring a number of benefits including;
-The gentle rocking acts as a natural sleep aid
-Rocking allows the heart to pump much needed nutrients and blood into cells
-The floating bed can speed up recovery after illnesses and surgery by providing motion when you may be bedridden
-The floating bed reduces pressure on the back and the constant motion can decrease swelling
-Rocking can decrease stress, improve dreams, and is more relaxing than laying still
The More Motion the Better
Life is all about motion and that is what the floating bed is built around. Many scientists and nutritionists will tell you that more motion, the better. This unique bed provides comfort for your body while also ensuring that your body remains in motion. This way your blood keeps flowing and your body keeps working, even while you sleep. Essentially the rocking motion triggers a switch inside the body that can increase alertness, energy, and overall health.
Even if you do not choose to make the floating bed a fixture in your bedroom it can still create a relaxing and positive spot anywhere without your house, or even outside. Omni Pendulum, the company that created the bed, admits that they cannot even fully explain why the bed works so well. They insist there isn’t a full explanation, nor does there need to be. You lay in it and feel better; it is as simple as that.
Is There a Catch?
To be honest research about the product shows that it can be a major pain to install. And if you cannot tell from the pictures you are going to need a lot of space to fit it into a room. However, a few hours of installation and clearing a space and you can have years of benefits, without doing a thing. Keep in mind that these floating beds are expensive as well, and are going to set you back a good deal of money. However, if you have the money then the lifetime benefits are sure to be worthwhile. If you don’t, a hammock has to be the next best thing right?
The floating bed is marketed as a true one time purchase and sleep aid. Instead of pills every night or a time consuming nightly tradition you can just lie down on the bed and sleep better.
Personally, I do not have one of these floating beds. I have not tried one yet either, but I can guarantee you I will be buying one in the very near future. All I have to do is find the space and the money. Once I do I will be sure to let you guys know how much better I feel. In the meantime, I’m getting a hammock while I save. Sometimes pretending you are in the Caribbean feels just as good as actually being there……..well a little.
Here`s to a deeper sleep.

Make a change and try to fit at least four or five of these 10 simple and effective weight loss tips into your daily routine and there is an excellent just you will be thinner in days, and be able to keep the weight off.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #1- Enjoy Snacks in Moderation
Gently snacking on anything in between meals was often thought to be a major weight loss no-no. However nutritionists are beginning to realize that it is much healthier in the long run to indulge yourself and satisfy your cravings than to try to ignore them all the time. The thought behind it is that in the long run you probably won’t be able to resist the urge and will end up overeating or going on a junk food binge. Snack, but stay smart about it.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #2- Shut Down the Television
There are numerous studies that have shown that watching TV while you eat can actually cause you to consume up to 40% more calories during your meal. In fact, any distracting activity such as writing, texting, talking on the phone, or driving can prevent your brain from letting you know that you are no longer hungry. Instead of multi-tasking and eating on the go, try to make every meal a sit down event by plating it and just enjoying the food.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #3- Find a Balance for Stepping on the Scale
We have discussed before the negative effects of weighing yourself on daily basis. If you step on the scale everyday then you are likely to get discouraged if there is no noticeable difference, and end up shutting down. On the other hand, neglecting to weigh yourself at least once a week may prevent you from realizing you have been making poor decisions. By keeping tabs on your weight you can determine when you need to cut back a little or when you should start spending an extra ten minutes on the treadmill.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #4- Mould your Body 3 Times a Week
Now before you get scared, this doesn’t mean that you HAVE to engage in a killer and lengthy muscle workout. However, spending just 15 minutes on a quick muscle maintaining workout 3 times a week can help you hold on to old muscle and create new muscle. Try doing just 5 minutes of squats, sit-ups, and push-ups while changing the exercise every 30 seconds. Take a breather and perform the cycle two more times. In just 15 minutes or so you can boost your muscle growth which can engage your metabolism and help you burn more calories throughout the day.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #5- Find Support and Engage
If you find yourself trapped in cravings and fighting the urge to binge or scarf down some high calorie treat, try calling a friend. Talk about something completely off topic and engage yourself in the conversation. Nutritionists have put out studies stating that often times cravings last for less than 5 minutes. By the time you are finished talking, gossiping, or doing whatever it is you do on the phone, you may not crave junk anymore. You will be closer with your friends and love the fact that you avoided the unnecessary junk and empty calories.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #6- Munch on a Hearty Breakfast
A big breakfast full of protein and carbs can ensure that your blood sugar levels remain steady throughout the day. While you may be concerned about eating a number of calories so early in the day, it can in fact fight hunger pains and prevent you from overeating during lunch and dinner. Stock up on breakfast and choose something satisfying such as whole wheat toast, turkey bacon, and egg whites. Mom always said that a big breakfast could go a long way, and she was right.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #7- Binge Drinking DOES Equal Beer Belly
Now this doesn’t mean that you can not enjoy drinking. There is often nothing better after a stressful week, and a cocktail here and there can feel so rewarding. However, one seemingly innocent Margarita can quickly pile on hundreds of empty calories. You can enjoy yourself on the weekends but try to make up for it somewhere else, or fit in a little more cardio on the morning of a party night. Also try to stick to alcoholic beverages such as vodka and soda or wine as they are sure to pack less of a caloric punch than cocktails.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #8-Consume Fruit More than Once a Day
Fruit is made up of mostly water and contains no fat. What that means is it will fill you up quicker and keep you away from other high cal options. A lot of people tend to become too concerned with the amount of carbs in fruit. With fruit you are only dealing with the good kinds of carbohydrates that can give you a steady does of healthy fiber. Indulge in apples, oranges, grapefruit, or anything that you can enjoy as a healthy snack.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #9- Fit in a Little Extra Sleep
We are all running around, working hard, taking care of kids, preparing meals, and enjoying our social lives. Sleep can easily take a backseat to all the other things going on in our lives but you should try and put it to the forefront. Just trying to get to sleep 30 minutes earlier and waking up 30 minutes later can boost your metabolism and enhance your ability to make smart food choices. Fatigue is a big cause of snacking and that extra sleep can relax you, leave you with more energy, and soothe stress.
Simple Weight Loss Tip #10- Positive Thinking and Visualization
When you feel like you are about to give in and dive into a box of chocolate or 7 Cosmopolitans, think positive and place a picture in your mind of yourself looking thin. That visual motivation of your long term success can help you stay focused on your goal and stay determined. Even if you have a rough week on the scale, do not give up and just think about how you will look later on. You can almost treat it the same way as dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit. Dangle that picture of you looking fit and feeling healthy in front of you and chances are your legs will get moving a little quicker.
If all ten of these simple weight loss tips seem easy, fit them all into your daily routine. If you see yourself struggling to make all these changes then just remember that sticking to as few as three of the tips can help you lose weight.
